What Are Your Pregnancy Cravings Telling You
One of the first things a mom to be expects to appear is her pregnancy cravings.
Pregnancy cravings seem odd! Some ladies crave sugar and others seek a little somethin’ savory. While most of these cravings are just a passing urge to indulge, they can also be a message from your body that something might be missing.

Our crazy prenatal hormones play a big part in our cravings and when our bodies send us food cravings, they’re really just telling you that they are missing out on some important vitamins and minerals.
Iron and zinc deficiency during pregnancy or beyond is thought to cause people to display Pica which makes women crave some bizarre and even inedible things like chalk or clay. In some cases, a severe craving for chocolate can stem from a lack of magnesium in our diets. Magnesium is usually found in dark leafy greens, whole grains, nuts and seeds and these might actually satisfy that chocolate-loving sweet tooth.
One expert found that many of her prego-patients experiencing food cravings were actually low on essential fatty acids. Once they took in more fish and flax oils, the cravings came to a screeching halt.
If cravings have you feeling fiendish for sweets, salty foods or even fats, you might just need to be a little more well rounded.
