I was confused and worried about what to take with my first pregnancy – and then read about Healthy Mama in one of the magazines (a pregnant star recommended) and thought that it is a genius brand.. I asked my OBGYN before trying (I suffered terribly with back pains… as we do) and he pointed out that it is totally absolutely safe. Fabulous line of products for mama-to-be… So nice to not have to worry about hurting yourself or your baby. I highly recommend!!

Have Questions? We have answers.

Insomnia is a condition described by difficulty falling asleep and remaining asleep. Transient insomnia occurs when symptoms last a few days to a few weeks. Acute (short-term) insomnia is when symptoms last for several weeks. Chronic insomnia is sleeplessness that lasts for months and years.

There are several reasons insomnia may occur during pregnancy including: increase in the size of the abdomen, heartburn, back pains, frequent urination, anxiety, vivid dreams, back pains and hormonal changes, all on top of anxiety.

Sleep is important during pregnancy because it takes a lot of energy for a baby to grow and develop. A pregnant woman’s heart works harder to pump the blood through her body and the baby’s body. Kidneys also work harder to rid waste. Poor quality sleep may be a risk factor for pre-term birth.
